Facebook and WWE (WWE) have recently announced a new in-ring series last week under the name of Mixed Match Challenge™ which will be streaming live exclusively on Facebook Watch. The series is scheduled to officially launch on the 16th of January of 2018.
According to the announcement, the 12-episode series will be featuring WWE Superstars from both the Raw® and SmackDown® Live and all will be competing in a single-elimination mixed tag-team tournament with a $100,000 prize which will be donated to a charity of their choice.
“As we continue to expand our strategic partnership with Facebook, this new series, Mixed Match Challenge, jointly reflects our innovative approach to content distribution and fan engagement,” Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer of WWE, Michelle Wilson told reports. “This show will deliver the action and excitement our passionate fan base is accustomed to while offering new production elements and social experiences that only Facebook can provide.”
As mentioned, the show will feature both men and women from Raw which will contest Smackdown®’s roster. No initial pairings has been announced as WWE will be encouraging its viewers to vote for the pairings through social media.

Participants from Raw would be Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss, Alicia Fox, Asuka, Bayley, Sasha Banks, The Miz, Braun Strowman, Finn Bálor, Enzo Amore and Goldust. Lana, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Carmella, Naomi, Natalya, Rusev, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Roode, Jimmy Uso and Sami Zayn will be the competitors for Smackdown. Other competitors will also be added through voting.

Shares of Facebook have been on a short bullish trend since the news was announced. It made it to 180.18 in its most recent trades with at least 1% growth from the previous one.
The Coppock curve of the social media company also showed confidence despite performing below the negative zone. At -2.23, a hold on buy would be advised if to consider the news above.
As the shares of WWE, the sports media company managed to continue its massive uptrend since its earnings release. It can be considered as an overbought company as it is still high above the 70’s region of its Relative Strength Index.
The Coppock Curve also mirrored the upsurge above with a performance high above the 20’s region. It is specifically at 24.05 which would recommend a buy for the stock.
