Taiwan stocks turned lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Electronic Parts and Cement sectors led shares lower.
The stock was lower as well in one session on Tuesday after it had ended the two-day slide in which it had retreated almost 70 points or 0.6 points.
Yesterday, the Taiwan Stock Exchange rested just beneath the 10, 940-point plateau and it was expected to open and close again. At the close of trade, it did as it lost 0.48 percent at 10,886.
Stocks who had better performances during the session were Lung Hwa Electronics Co Ltd, which rose 10 percent or 2.2 points to trade at 24.20 at the close.
Meanwhile, Chuwa Wool Industry Co Taiwan Ltd added 9.99 percent or 3.90 points to close at 42.95 and Ene Technology Inc was up 9.93 percent or 1.35 points to 14.95 in late trade.
On the other hand, stocks who had worst performances during the session were Walsin Technology Corp, which fell 10 percent or 34 points to trade at 366.0 at the close; Holy Stone Enterprise Co Ltd declined 9.96 percent or 24 points to finish at 217.0 and Abocom Systems Inc was down 9.82 percent or 2.15 points to 19.75.
Falling stocks were more than the advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 474 to 312 and 128 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.30 percent or 0.22 to $71.98 a barrel.
Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.52 percent or 0.41 to hit $79.16 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.21 percent or 2.70 to trade at $1289.30 a troy ounce.
Moreover, in Forex USD/TWD was up 0.27 percent to 29.962, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.00% to 0.2124.
